Entries from March 2008
I had a great time last night at the maternity photography mini-seminar with Damon and his wife Robin at their studio in the Avenues Mall. They are AWESOME! There were only 6 photographers in our group, so it really gave us a chance to interact with Damon & Robin and get to know them better, while learning lots of cool stuff. This is the last photograph I took as I was leaving. I called Robin’s name, and she hammed it up for the camera. Thanks Robin!

Here are a couple photos that I took when Aunt Bonnie & Uncle Dave were here visiting. We were all hanging out in the backyard and I managed to capture this fleeting moment. Ryley doesn’t stay in one place for very long.

Here is another one of those fleeting moments … this was an authentic moment. I didn’t pose this. I love it when that happens! Don’t you?

I’m busting…at my photographers guild meeting the other night I signed up for EIGHT mini-seminars that will be taught by our phenominal guild members. I made sure I got there really early so I could get all the classes I wanted. I am going to my first one tonight… Maternity Photography with Damon – 2007 PPSNF Photographer of the Year. I know he will have a live model there, but I think he’ll be the only one photographing her. I’m going to take my camera just in case though.
For any of you who have known me for a while, you know that I used to be petrified of babies. I hurt many a new moms’ feelings, because I was too scared to hold their babies….so scared that I never even thought I’d have kids of my own. BUT now that I AM a mom, I can’t get enough of babies! The miracle of pregnancy and life excites and amazes me. I love documenting it through artistic photography, so I’m really looking forward to learning some new skills & ideas at my seminar tonight!

This little patch of lavendar colored flowers caught my eye in my yard a couple days ago … reminds me of a bright new spring day. So I thought I’d pass a little brightness on.

I feel so blessed to have been part of this beautiful wedding! It was very special from start to finish. Cora and Per Einar are an amazing couple with an inspiring love story built on the foundation of their faith in the Lord. They are fun and photogenic….I had a BLAST photographing their engagement, rehearsal, and wedding!!! Here are just a few … There are SO MANY MORE that I’d love to share!

The wedding day…

AREN’T THEY ADORABLE!!!??? It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite… I haven’t even gotten through all my images yet!
Lauren, thanks for being my photo buddy for Cora!! You’re a sweetheart
Stacy M. ~ Happy Birthday to you….

March 17th ~ HAPPY St. PATRICK’S DAY!
We moved into our house 4 years ago today
I got my photos all ready before going to bed last night, but my computer was being ornery (as usual), so I’ll have to post them this evening. It’s got to be about 7 years old now, and we’ve already upgraded it as much as possible, so I’m thinking it’s time for a new one. If not I think I may end up throwing mine through the window! It’s not pleasant when I have to get on my husband’s MAC, cuz my PC is acting up. He loves to gloat that MACs are far superior…hey, I learned on a MAC and used them for several years, but still prefer PC… can’t help it.
Friday night had a great time assisting my friend Kim with a wedding at the Renaissance Resort in the World Golf Village, St. Augustine. Big Irish family who loved to have a good time. The groom surprised his bride during the ceremony by having a pair of handcuffs handed to him when he asked for her ring. She thought that was great. Stopped on my way out and got some nighttime shots to surprise Kim with.
Saturday, we had AB & UD (aka..Aunt Bonnie & Uncle Dave) stop in and spend the night on their way back to cold PA. They love FL so much, they’re looking at buying down here now. YEAH! It would be awesome to have family here! Make that U-Turn UD!
I have some sweet shots of Ryley and we were visited by geese this weekend also…
That’ll be for another post. Love,

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe March is here and it’s already the 6th!!! Time is flying and March is PACKED with stuff. In addition to this blog, I’m working on 2 wedding albums, a baby shoot, & other small projects. My ‘little’ brother Brandon’s birthday is the day before my husband’s AND he’s getting married the following weekend on the 15th! Yeah Ashley & Brandon! On March 22nd, Cora & Per Einar are tying the knot, and I’m honored to be their wedding photographer. Check out their awesome wedding website at http://wedding.evensen.info/. The photo of the 2 of them on the home page is my work
. I’m also assisting my friend Kim on 2 weddings this month. FCAT testing starts next week too, then it’s spring break shortly after, and before you know it we’ll be into April! I’m feelin’ like I’m in a time warp …. and speaking of that…..Walmart is the black hole. Don’t you agree? No time for photos tonight, except the cool wedding site above. I’ll try to include some next time. In the mean time, slow down, take a few deeeeeeeep breaths and really feel some oxygen, then tell those close to you that you love them, and make it a point to photograph/video them if you haven’t in a while. We’re only here a little while. Love you all, Heidi
