HELLO!

First & foremost – I give the LORD full credit and gratitude for my talents and gifts! The divinely appointed drive in me to be creative & bless others through my art goes deep into my core.  I have a NEEEEEED to be CREATIVE!!!  It’s woven into the fibers of my being, so I know that’s the Lord’s handy work It’s exciting!

  My husband Jerry, our sweet daughter Ryley and I live in Jacksonville, Florida.  I create heart-warming, unique indoor/outdoor/location lifestyle portraiture and wedding photography. I enjoy travel and have photographed weddings and other assignments along the east coast. I also enjoy sports action photography and sub-contract for Gumps Sports Photo & Awards.

I grew up in western NY near Niagara Falls & Buffalo, then lived in Southeastern VA, and moved here to Jax six years ago. I LOVE all three places!!     

    While photography  ‘fuels my creative soul,’ I am also a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT), earned an M.Ed. in Special Education from the College of William & Mary, and I have over 17 years of teaching experience. I love connecting with kids and making a positive impact on their lives. Like giving a struggling 5th grader, who is artistically gifted and loves to draw, his very first sketch pad, drawing pencil set, blending tools, etc. I’m not sure who was more excited, me or him!

h.a.e (my initials) is the essence of who I am creatively.  I pour my heart into my artwork and take a personal interest in creating images that are unique and heart-warming. My clients seek me for that reason. Through my artistry & dedication, I often go from being not just a photographer, but a fast family friend. Accepting a limited number of commissions per year gives me the time to invest in creating one of a kind images and allows me to provide personal attention to my clients…. to create “heartfelt  artistry  without  exception!”

Being the first new photography friend I met soon after moving to Jacksonville, she’s had a major impact on my life. We met over the phone when I inquired about a job posting at Gumps Sports Photography, and we instantly became friends. We have traveled together for trainings, fun, & family . Family beach portraits – Kim Kirk www.kimkirkphotography.com - Kim and I met through our mutual friend Lorrie (Gumps Sports Photography). Then we began bumping into each other at photography workshops and PPSNF meetings. Now we’re good friends and I have the pleasure of assisting Kim at her weddings as a second photographer.
