Little Firecracker

July 12th ALREADY!!??? Who pushed the hyper drive button!?

Jerry & I want to thank everyone for your prayers while his mom (Karen Ecklor) is in the hospital. She was moved to Iowa City this past week, and the doctors are determining the next steps, while family anxiously waits & prays.

Since the 4th of July was Karen’s birthday, Ryley and I created some special photos to help brighten her spirits…

In the photos below, Ryley was talking to her daddy on the phone, saying the typical toddler “No Daddy!”  She says that a lot recently, because she wants to say, sing, & do everything herself.  She cracks me up!  We’ve noticed her putting together 3 words pretty frequently now, so she’s able to give us a more accurate piece of her mind!!! She isn’t even 2 years old yet – are we in for it?

The sheepish look is because she is about to close the phone, knowing that will hang up on her Daddy!

 Thanks Again!

Love & Blessings,

  1. I finally figured out how to post a comment. I love how generous and loving you are teaching Ryley to be. I love these pictures! They put a big smile on my face; she is getting so big and looking more like her mommy. Great job and thanks for sharing!

  2. Hey There Holly! Thanks for taking the time to post a comment and being so sweet. You need to come down here and visit girl! Love & Miss you bunches, Heidi

  3. Hi Heidi, These photos are such a wonderful way to lift Jerry’s mom’s spirits. It is nothing like a personalized sentiment (beats cards or flowers any day)! Miss you bunches and love seeing pictures of Ryley growing up, Becky

  4. Hi Becky! Thanks so much for the really nice comments! Since Jerry’s mom lives so far away, she doesn’t get to see Ryley very often. So I thought that would be a nice way to send some cheer. We just did something similar for my mom yesterday, because a friend she’s had for 30 years just passed away. I just got back from the post office mailing her some photos. Miss you too! I hope your kids’ lemonade stand for pediatric cancer goes well! Make sure to take some pictures and keep us posted! Love, Heidi
